PAIA Access to Information
Information about requesting access to records under the Promotion of Access to Information Act.
1. Access to information
The Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 provides a process for requesting access to records where access is required for the exercise or protection of a right.
2. Sheard Auctioneers PAIA Manual
Private bodies are required to make an appropriate PAIA Manual available. This webpage is a public access point and does not replace the organisation’s formally approved manual.
3. Making a request
A request should identify the requested record, the right being exercised or protected, the preferred form of access and sufficient contact information. Prescribed forms and fees may apply.
4. Contact point
Until the approved manual is published, preliminary PAIA enquiries may be directed to office@sheard.co.za or delivered to 54 Main Road, Cathcart.
5. Information Regulator guidance
Requesters may consult guidance and prescribed forms published by the Information Regulator South Africa.
